mammoth cave

Mammoth Cave National Park is an experience unlike anything I have ever felt in my entire life. Never in my life before have I felt so small in the eyes of nature. Pictures do not do justice to the experience of being inside this cave due to the incredible darkness of the spaces. It is incredibly humbling to feel the cool core temperature of the Earth, the quiet of nothing being around for miles underneath the surface, and the absolute terror that lies beneath many of the bridges that span above one thousand feet of darkness. This cave tour was one of the best experiences of my life and I can not recommend it enough to anyone who is nearby the area. Even the claustrophobic cannot help but sit in awe of the magic of the caves and ponder over the incredible conditions it took to form such unique environmental conditions.
